Sep 22, 2020 Monologue - RBG

The death of Ruth Bader Ginsberg is by now a little bit of old news, but the ramifications are on going.

Her dying wish, supposedly, was “that [she] will not be replaced until a new president is installed.” Lawyers, and indeed judges, are trained to be exact with language - it’s a major component of the law, as evidenced by the mere existence of Black’s Law Dictionary, and if the language wasn’t precise, it would be impossible to evenly apply said laws.

So her dying wish was that she not be replaced until a NEW president is INSTALLED. Firstly, we don’t install presidents. Many argue that this implies a hidden hand in the process of ELECTING a president, and I can see why people would pounce on that verbiage. But it could just as easily not mean that, too. RBG was a smart lady, after all, so I imagine her often used language creatively.

What I think is the bigger tell, is that fact that she said a NEW president. What if Donald Trump wins again? He won’t be a new president - he’ll still be 45. What happens to her dying wish then? Besides, Justices are expected to be non partisan, so wishing for a new president to replace her soils her legacy, if you ask me. Remember, also, her remarks leading up to the 2016 election, where she called Trump a, “faker,” as well as lamenting that she, “can’t imagine what this place would be… can’t imagine what the country would be - with Donald Trump as our president.

But in the end, dying wishes hold about as much value, legally, as the living wish of any guilty defendant trying to get off for murder. It just doesn’t matter - but leave it to the left to attempt to use is it as a legal standard. Never mind that Ginsberg herself, in 2016, stated that, “The president is elected for four years not three years, so the power he has in year three continues into year four… Maybe members of the Senate will wake up and appreciate that that’s how it should be.”

But here is AOC and Schumner pretending like her dying wish trumps the constitution: And now Biden, in a surprisingly cognizant speech:

The left’s religiosity surrounding Ginsburg is disturbing. Yes, her death is a tragedy, as all deaths are. But attempting to hamstring the nation based on her dying wish is untenable. We all know that there is likely going to be many legal battles ahead with the upcoming election, and the Supreme Court will play an integral role.

Many leftwing pundits and activists have even threatened riots and civil war should Trump try to have her seat filled before the election. Well, it seems like they will get their wish, as Trump has announced that he will be revealing his nominee this coming Saturday. So get ready for more left wing violence described as “mostly peaceful.”

And with Trump’s nominee most likely to be a woman, Amy Coney Barrett and Barbara Lagoa being frontrunners, expect all notions of feminism to be thrown out the window, as these women hold the wrong kind of thoughts in their heads. And remember how they treated Kavanaugh - accused of being a gang rapist, among other things - and know that they will come at whomever the President chooses with the same tactics, and it won’t stop there. We’re in for a wild ride these next couple months. And hope they do go after the nominee like they did Kavanaugh. I will feel bad for said person, but it will damage the Progressive Left so badly and wake up so many more to their spiteful, hateful ways.
